David's surgery in the States was without incident. David was released from the hospital on October 27. For about a week and a half recovery went well. But, then during the second week the arrhythmia returned. The doctor said this was not that uncommon. To correct the current arrhythmia David may need to be readmitted to the hospital for additional medicine and monitoring. So, all this means that David's stay in the States has been prolonged. So, we ask your prayers that the arrhythmia would cease and that David could soon return to his family.
Philippians 4 instructs believers to focus their thoughts on the positive and worthy. One positive from this experience is that David is having an opportunity to develop new ministry outreach programs through the internet. A friend from Vinnytsa, Ukraine asked David to lead English Bible studies for his church through the internet. We use the Skype program to video conference these Bible studies. David and the students can see each other; and David can share photos and text from his computer screen. David asks for your prayers that the Word of God would be faithfully taught and that the students would place their faith in Christ through these Bible studies. Also, while David is in the States another missionary continues to lead Bible studies in David's home in Kiev. Pray also for the ongoing English classes in the church in Kiev. Co-laborers in Christ are carrying on that ministry while David is in the States.
In summary, pray for David and doctors to be able to completely address the arrhythmia problem. Pray for Kim and the children to endure while David is away. Pray for David's co-workes and ongoing ministries in Kiev as well as the new ministry that has started through the internet. We thank you for your prayers and support.
