March 2012 Update

I am a little late with the March update. I am writing from the States where I recently had surgery.  Yes, this is the second surgery to correct a recurring heart arrhythmia.  Anyway, the surgery was on March 30.  This time I only had to spend 1 night in the hospital.  I am recovering nicely.  I must stay in the States for a couple of weeks before being released for overseas travel.  I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this time.  I would especially like to thank my wife and children who have patiently dealt with my absence and my sister who stayed with me in the hospital. Having a supportive family is a huge blessing.

Ruslan installing radiant floor heating in church
Even though I have been absent from Ukraine my co-workers have continued to move the various ministries forward.  My co-worker, Vitalik, has continued the leadership of Living Vine Church.  Another Ukrainian co-worker friend, Ruslan, has prepared the radiant floor heating system in the Bortnychi church for the team that is coming in June.  My supporter friends in the States are helping me raise funds for this summer's short-term church construction team.  These and many others are a testimony to the body of Christ working together.  When one part of the body is struggling the other parts pick up the slack and keep the body moving forward. We are so blessed to be a part of the body of Christ where people truly care for one another.  I could not imagine living in a world without  Christian family and friends.  Thanks to everyone out there who has blessed my family and ministry!

I will be in the States for a couple of more weeks.  I ask your prayers for a quick recovery and good follow-up appointment with the surgeon on April 17.  Pray for my family back in Ukraine, for the various ministries to continue strong, for the Lord to bless those who have been a blessing to me, and for a safe return to Ukraine during the second half of April.   May you be blessed when you consider the power of His resurrection this Easter season!
