October 2010 Update

October has brought cooler weather to Kiev. Our family had to harvest the grapes before the temperatures dropped too low. Several containers of grapes were harvested. They have been a real delight especially in compote (home made juice).

More than grapes are being harvested in Ukraine, though. We are harvesting spiritual fruit too. This month two new ministries were "born." We started hosting a Bible study on discovering and using spiritual gifts in our home. Also, we started an English class to reach more unbelievers for Christ. Pray for God to harvest more spiritual fruit through these and other efforts.

This month David travels to the States for health purposes. Over the years he has had several episodes of atrial fibrillation that have landed him in the Ukrainian hospital. Doctors are now recommending that David have a surgery done in the States. So, we ask your prayers fo a procedure that will be done on October 25. Pray also for Kim and the children as they stay behind in Ukraine. David will try to write another update after the surgery.
