The Spireks have successfully completed another 4 year missionary term in Ukraine. They have returned to the United States for a 6 month "home ministry assignment." What exactly is "home ministry assignment?" Well, about every 4 years CrossWorld missionaries are required to return to their sending country to renew relationships with family and friends, to raise additional prayer and financial support, to mobilize the Stateside church for missions, and to rest and reorient oneself to the home culture. Though we have only been in the States a few days, we already have a good start to accomplishing these goals.
We are based from a church mission house near Dallas, Texas. From here we will travel to a couple of family reunions as well as share mission presentations in various churches throughout the States. Please pray for our family that we would be able to accomplish everything that is necessary during home assignment. Pray that we would experience some rest and refreshment. Pray that we would have quality time with family and friends. Pray for successful meetings and presentations in churches and in small group adult Bible studies. Pray that we would be able to mobilize other believers for worldwide missions. Pray that we would be able to raise additional financial support needed to pay for the rising expenses of health care and visas. (We learned that the cost of our health care plan and visas have recently doubled.) Pray for the national church back in Ukraine to press forward in evangelism, discipleship and church development while we are away. We really appreciate your ongoing partnership in sharing the gospel in the former Soviet Union and beyond. We would love to see you! Please call our mobile number (214) 449-8346 so that we can schedule a visit.
