July 14 Update

The tasks have been many and days have been few.  We have tried to accomplish as much as possible in the given time, geography and circumstances of this home assignment.  One of our main goals this summer was to help our son transition into university and life in the States.  After persevering through a number of previously unforeseen bureaucratic issues it seems that our son, Austin, is now able to move forward in life.  A second goal of home ministry assignment was to visit as many family, friends, churches and supporters as possible given the geographic and scheduling restrictions.  In the past 6 weeks we were able to visit 5 church campuses, to speak in 7 adult Sunday school classes, to share a personal testimony in an evening church service and to meet a new pastor of a church.  This week we depart on the last part of our journey.  We will spend some time with Kim's side of the family on the east coast, speak in a church and in a small group in Pennsylvania, and then accompany our son back to Texas before returning overseas.  We ask your prayers for safe travel and good visits in the States.  Please also pray for the Lord to restore peace to Ukraine and for our safety there!  Thanks again for your partnership in the ministry!
