August 15 update

What started out as seeking a better way to make disciples of Jesus here in Ukraine, this summer has turned into an international disciple making movement. Earlier this year David had invested three months into 15 young people in a local church. The results were changed lives and new ministries being born. After this, one thing led to another. The Lord guided David to develop a twelve week Disciple Makers’ seminar teaching the process of spiritual maturity.  The research led towards having some discipleship curriculum translated into Russian language. David saw a need to start a social networking group on Facebook where disciple makers could share and care for one another. This ministry led to the development of a resource website.  This eventually led to a weekly podcast show on the internet.  David has already produced 7 episodes establishing and equipping disciple makers to start their own disciple making movements.  Though part of the ministry has transitioned to the internet, David continues to lead several local discipleship small groups, a summer coffee house ministry and English grammar outreach ministries.  God has given opportunities to impact people from Ukraine, Canada and even Iraq.  David has a vision to further expand this ministry internationally.

Regarding family life school is going to start soon.  This year Kim will serve in the English Language Learning Department of KCA.  She will also teach sixth grade math and English.  This year Kaitlyn is in third grade; Karyn is a senior in high school; and Austin is a junior in university.  Since Karyn will be graduating, next summer (2017) we will travel to the States for a six month home ministry assignment.  While in the States we would love to personally visit you, in homes, churches, summer camps or Sunday school classes. We are going to be in need of housing and transportation during those travels. So, if you are interested in a personal visit or in helping meet home ministry needs, then let us know.  Thanks for your prayers and participation in making disciples of Jesus not only in Ukraine but also internationally.
