In order for crops to produce fruit it often requires bees to be busily about their business. What is true in this physical world often is also true in the spiritual world. In order for Christians to produce spiritual fruit they must be busily about the Father's business. Sometimes before we can even arrive in the fields there is much to do. Since our last blog update we have been working feverishly to prepare for going into the mission field. We have packed our stateside belongings, shipped some boxes overseas, leased out our stateside home, sold furniture, disconnected utilities, attended our dedication services at Lake Pointe Church, driven from Texas to Pennsylvania, applied for and received visas, visited with family and friends saying goodbye for four years, and dealt with a stateside vehicle. At times the busyness has seemed overwhelming. Like a bee's ability to flap its wings some things have been in our control. Like the wind other things have been outside of our control. Trusting in God to help us reach our final destination has been a live lesson in faith. God's promise is true. "We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God - those whom he has called according to his plan." (Romans 8:28). Now that our passports and visas are in hand we are about ready for the next part of our journey of faith. We ask your prayers for our flight overseas to Ukraine on Tuesday (July 10). Pray for God to safely lead us to New York JFK airport that morning. Pray for a safe flight over the Atlantic and layover in London and connecting flight on to Kiev. Pray for God to carry us through customs and for us to connect with our coworkers at the Borispol Airport. Then, pray for us to quickly settle and adjust to new time zone that we might start bearing spiritual fruit in a needy land. We appreciate your participation in the gospel through your prayers, service and sacrifice! May you by faith be busy in God's kingdom wherever He has planted you!
