Jesus said "follow me and I will make you fishers of men." Well, this past week God gave some opportunities to fish for men, to fish for partnerships in missions, and to fish for actual fish. So, here is the good news from this week's great fishing adventures. On Tuesday I had a personal visit with the pastor of First Baptist Church sharing my vision for making disciples in Ukraine. On Wednesday night I visited another church that I used to attend decades ago. On Thursday God gave an opportunity to share a clear presentation of the gospel to 75 men at a men's "Power Lunch." I encouraged men there with the power of the Good News of Jesus. Friday I shared a missions presentation with a group of about 35 senior citizens at a senior citizens center. Saturday, God gave me an opportunity to visit my uncle and aunt and to fish for actual fish where I caught a 4.8 pound catfish (see photo). Then, on Sunday I shared my mission presentation in a combined adult Sunday school class of about 50 and then spoke for about 5 minutes during the morning service. The best news of all, however, was the two children who trusted Jesus as Savior at that service and the two other children who were baptized that day. So, God has called us to be "fishers of men." Will you pray for God to provide me with more opportunities this summer to do just that? Please keep praying!
