August 28 update

This past summer the Lord placed on my heart a desire to start a humanitarian aid relief project for refugees and those affected by the war in eastern Ukraine.  While in the States the Lord brought across my path people who wanted to participate over there.  Since returning God has brought across my path people on this side who also want to participate.  Since God seems to be at work I decided to open a "Ukraine Refugee Humanitarian Aid" account at Crossworld.  My initial goal is to raise $10,000.  This money will go toward purchasing and distributing items such as food, blankets, warm socks and gloves, water proof tarps for temporarily repairing broken roofs, plastic sheeting to temporarily cover broken windows, flashlights, diapers for children and elderly, pack and plays for families moving around, etc.  Many of these items will be purchased in country.  In the coming weeks I will be working on a list of items not so readily available in country to ship in a container.  But, I wanted to get this project off the ground and begin to meet some needs before winter arrives.  Tax-deductible donation checks must be made out to "Crossworld."  On a separate piece of paper (such as a sticky note) indicate "For the Ukraine Refugee Humanitarian Aid Project."  You will receive a tax deductible receipt.  Donations may also be given online at http://www.crossworld.org/give/.  Thanks for blessing those in Ukraine whose lives have been turned upside down because of the war.
