Why pray for missionaries... (part 3)

This is part three of our series on why supporters should regularly pray for their missionaries. They should regularly pray for their missionaries because a missionary's work is spiritual and can only be done through the Holy Spirit.  The world would teach various methods and schemes for ministry and church growth.  But, without the power of the Holy Spirit these schemes would ultimately fail to produce lasting fruit.  The missionary must operate out of the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit which comes from daily communion with Jesus.  So, please pray for your missionaries to maintain regular quality time with the Lord.  Pray Ephesians 5:18b (being filled with the Spirit), Galatians 5:16 (walking by the Spirit), Galatians 5:22 (real spiritual fruit) and 1 John 1:9 (confession and cleansing) over your missionary.  Your prayers are vital to God's mission!
