Divine appointments! That is the only way to explain it. The day before yesterday I had an extra hour between scheduled appointments. So, I stopped by Starbucks to check email and take a break. I looked up from my computer screen and there was Jim sitting at a table across the room. A few years ago Jim had served on a short-term mission trip in Ukraine. Perhaps it was a "coincidence." But, the very next day I had another hour between appointments. I stopped by McDonalds to use their internet. I looked up from my laptop and saw another friend from years ago. Yesterday afternoon I was at the Texas Baptist Men headquarters. I had a super helpful conversation with the director about humanitarian aid relief and discipleship materials. In the evening I had a blessed dinner with friends and supporters and was afterwards invited to their home for a great time of renewing relationships. Today, another friend, Richard introduced me to some of his friends at the local YMCA one about whom I will pray for salvation. It is amazing who God will bring across your path when you seek Him first, keep your eyes open and be willing to go wherever and whenever He calls. I don't know exactly who has been praying during this summer ministry journey. But, thanks for the prayers. I firmly believe through those prayers God has arranged these and many similar "divine appointments" throughout this summer. In less than a week I return overseas. Pray for me to finish strong and to visit all whom God desires on this trip. Blessings - David
